Hi there! It's been a while, I know, but I've been busy with ...stuff XD. The thing that I'll make it up to you all by publishing a post each day, from today onwards, till christmas. They call that 12 days of christmas and you have started way late! Well, you're right, but it's six posts in six days....so that has to count to something , right? RIGH!? Ehem, let's just start with the plot of this manga ,already, shall we?

Koe no katachi, or the Shape of voice as far as it appears in Wikipedia, it's a shonen manga that tells a story that might not be suitable for shonen readers. It tells the story of how difficult the life of someone with impaired hearing or other kinds of deafness can be quite hard, but that there's light at the end of the tunnel.
It's a character's story, there's a plot line, sure, but when this manga really gives its all is when portrays the relationship between the characters . There's a slice of life theme going on but it falls into a secondary part after a few chapters, when the story kind of stalls and things seems to be going really slowly. That's not a bad thing, that way they can explain with a lot of detail stuff about the characters.
The main line of the plot revolves around the fact that children are cruel, really cruel. At the beginning of the story , the main character of the manga, called  Ishida Shouya bullies a girl called Nishimiya every single day. Not a single time does he spare her of her harrassment : he's kind of a bad guy. Those events tend to end badly and this is not an exception: Nishimiya ends up changing schools and Ishida Shouya regrets doing that for a lot of time till the real beginning of the story, when Ishida decides it's time to make amends both to Nishimiya and to himself.
There's more characters apart from Nishimiya and Shouya and they vary from quite a wide range of arquetypes, although most of them share a common personality trait: fear of rejection. Not all of them participated in Nishimiya's bullying but they were too scared to complain/do something about it. Nevertheless, there's more characters that past ones to complement the story, which makes a mix between people Nishimiya knew and new friends to build a very interesting cast. The main reason they are interesting is that all of them has problems, there's no heroes in the story, everyone is the same, maybe not with the same problems but all of them has something that keeps them from moving on.
The drawing style is correct and I think it fits the story perfectly. By correct I don't mean "barely good" but something quite remarkable, yet not too flashy. That's something very positive to the story as it focuses in realistic situations, with some space for creativity, like when some characters have X marks on their faces because they "aren't seen" by the main character.

I could talk a lot of things but I'm going to keep short: I loved this story. It's well written, not very long, with good characters and a hard to approach subject.
